OPI on any display

As of version 3.0, the OPI R package supports the JOVP written by Iván Marín-Franch which allows production of visual stimuli on any display that supports the Vulkan platform. This includes tablets, phones, VR headsets, monitors, etc.

How to obtain OPI for JOVP

You will need:

• To install Vulkan and the JOVP on your device. See the JOVP git repo. for details.
• To install the OPI-JOVP server (middleware) that sits between the OPI R package and the JOVP.
• OPI R package of v3.0 or higher (on CRAN from August 2024)

All of these packages are open source under Apache or similar licenses. Check each package for license details.
